Choosing the right EV charger pins is crucial for fast charging safety and efficiency. Keep an eye on these 3 key dimensions:

1. Material: The foundation of conductivity and durability

• Prioritize high-purity brass (copper content ≥90%): This copper-zinc alloy has a conductivity of over 80% IACS, enabling it to quickly conduct high currents (compatible with 100A+ fast charging). Its heat dissipation is better than materials like stainless steel, preventing overheating-triggered protection mechanisms during charging.

• Plating matters: For daily use, opt for nickel plating (thickness ≥3μm) to resist moisture and oxidation; for high-frequency use (such as commercial charging piles), gold plating (0.5-2μm) can further reduce contact resistance and minimize plug-in loss.

2. Structure: Determines plug-in experience and stability

• Contact pressure is key: Qualified pins and jacks need a stable contact pressure of 0.5-1N. Insufficient pressure leads to poor contact at the contact points, causing a sudden increase in resistance and overheating; excessive pressure accelerates pin wear and shortens service life.

• Detail designs add value: Pins with guiding slopes reduce offset wear during plugging; rounded corners at the root of the pin can lower the risk of cable breakage when bent.

3. Certification: The safety bottom line must not be broken

Be sure to look for the GB/T 20234 national standard certification, focusing on two indicators:

• Temperature resistance range (-40℃~85℃): Adapts to severe cold in the north and extreme heat in the south, preventing material embrittlement or deformation under extreme temperatures.

• Plug-in cycle resistance (≥10,000 times): Calculated at 2 plug-ins per day, it can stably last at least 13 years, far exceeding the needs of ordinary household equipment.
